Serpullo

€22.00 VAT included
Serpullo red wine is made using a blend of grape varieties: 60% Sangiovese, 20% Sagrantino, 20% Cabernet and Merlot. The grapes are harvested from vineyards planted over 40 years ago. The must is fermented spontaneously in open vats without any temperature control, ustng natural yeasts and a minimal quantity of sulphites, following the traditional method. During fermenta- tion the must and skins are mixed manually three times a day. The wine is aged in oak casks from Slavonia for at least three years, during which it is racked and naturally becomes progressively finer and clearer. We only use large casks made of seasoned wood so that the wine evolves while aging but maintains its distinctive character. It is bottled without being filtered and no additional sulphites are used.
